Throughout our 12 years in the automotive business together (me starting as a salesperson and working my way to General Manager….my wife supporting the 12-14 hour workdays), one thing always stuck out to me and quite frankly often made me feel “apologetic” as I attempted to build a trustworthy relationship with my customers. That one thing was how deceptive we as “automotive specialists” were considered by a large majority of the public. It’s a perception that the industry has earned through years of less than honest and ethical practices.

Whether a long drawn out “back and forth” game over price, shady sales practices, or tying up a client for the better part of a day just to do what could have been done in a matter of an hour, our industry earned that level of distrust from our customers.
